Hi! My name is Ada Rockdale. I have been writing music for over 5 years now, yet I am not a name you would probably know. I have never really published anything, I mainly write for enjoyment. This site serves the dual purpose for me of being an archive and a source of criticism (hopefully nice and constructive!).
I live in a small town, and because of that I have had very little luck in meeting other songwriters. Most of the people I know are not exactly “creative” types, and the “creative” types I do know are mostly either painters or theatre kids. The only music lessons in town are done in elementary schools. So, here I am.
My favorite element to incorporate in my lyrics is surreal-ish language. How often I actually do this, I am unsure, but I have always had an affinity for this style of writing. I would love to utilize it more than I already do.
