Was I Wrong

Was I wrong to begin with?
Did we start this off on the wrong foot?
All those missteps and all those questions
How could I have ever understood?
Should we rebuild all these bridges?
Should I start to look for new wood?
Or would we be better off
letting this whole thing remain as soot
while I stay put
