The Great Big Whatever

You’re in the corner of my eye
You’re a whimpering dog that isn’t mine
All arrogance without a single accomplishment
You’re slapping me with your tail
You’re a down to the quick hangnail
You brag in whispers and you think that protects your reputation

A shrug of the shoulders can pull the rug from beneath your feet
No one owes you anything
You’re a brick in the wall
Polished as you may be
You’re the great big whatever
Flashing lights and nothing to see

You like to talk a big game
You filled your head with fame
You sit upon a high horse that’s starving to death
I said I don’t wanna compete
You say you got the best of me
No ones scared of a giant made of skin and bone

A shrug of the shoulders can pull the rug from beneath your feet
No one owes you anything
You’re a brick in the wall
Polished as you may be
You’re the great big whatever
Flashing lights and nothing to see
